January 2017 saw Ulysse Nardin take part in the International Salon of Haute Horlogerie for the very first time.
For the 27th edition of the SIHH in Geneva, a key event for Haute Horlogerie insiders, the Swiss watchmaker created a stand whose focal point was the Nacra F20 catamaran dressed in Ulysse Nardin's colors. Its racing lines provided the perfect metaphor for Ulysse Nardin’s spirit of constant self-challenge and technical expertise.
Among the show stopping timepieces unveiled during the SIHH were the Marine Regatta Chronograph and the InnoVision 2. While the two are very different expressions of the watchmaker’s art, they both uphold the rallying cry of the company: to push back the limits of mechanical timekeeping through unceasing innovation, independent manufacturing and true technical avant-garde. The no less spectacular timepieces in the Ulysse Nardin catalogue were given extra support with the announcement of an unprecedented move on the part of a Swiss watchmaker: an extended 5-year warranty on all newly purchased timepieces. This unheard-of extended guarantee of quality in the world of Haute Horlogerie reveals Ulysse Nardin’s strong commitment to customers, and to each and every mechanical timepiece that is produced by the Swiss manufacture.
